There he is. That is the guy that robbed me. Kick his ass if you see him, because the police here have yet to catch him. Worst of all, he is a MURDERER! From Tallahassee.com:
Ben Rucker has been identified as the suspect in two local bank robberies that occurred within the last week, said David McCranie, police spokesman.Florida Department of Corrections has confirmed Ben Rucker was released from prison on July 22.
Rucker signed and dated the four-page paperwork known as the supervision documents. The paperwork spells out Rucker’s responsilbities.
Jo Ellyn Rackleff, DOC public information officer, reports that Rucker lives at a transitional home in Tallahassee. He is employed, she said. And, the last contact with him by the probation officer was on March 25.
She said, “We have done all of our supervision to the letter.”According to the Florida Department of Corrections, Ben Rucker was sentenced to life in prison for second degree murder in Orange County in 1983.
The DOC Web site highlights July 22, 2008 as the date Rucker was released.
So, this guy has been out of prison for 7 months, and decides to rob a couple of banks? Sounds like Brooks from The Shawshank Redemption to me. Probably just can’t handle life on the outside.
