Wow, the power just went out! Three consecutive times in about thirty seconds. I think it’s probably out for a while, as this little storm we just had was powerful! It also knocked me off of my phone call 3 times about 20 minutes ago, a strange occurrence on the cell. Well, sitting here in the dark gives me the opportunity to start to put together this weeks monumental list of the best of the best in personal finance.
Pretty basic rundown of different types of retirement accounts…basic is not a bad thing.

I’m jealous. I’m due for a new TV, but have yet to reach my goal. This purchase was well planned, and due to the similarity between our plights, deserves inclusion in my links this week.
Some of these ways to fail are downright hilarious! Especially the first…a few months ago, my manager was interviewing an applicant, and afterward, I asked how he did. My manager said, “I knew as soon as I walked in the room that I wouldn’t hire him”. When I asked how he knew so quickly, he responded, “he was chewing gum”. Good call Fiscal Geek, #1 is spot on.
This is just a good read. Period. Instead of waiting for the triumphant return of our economy, why not just adjust to what we have now and evolve?
Let us not forget the Carnivals!!
Green Panda Treehouse hosted the Carnival of Personal Finance #211-Burn Notice Edition. I should really start watching that show. My little Brother is in love with it…in a not so healthy way. If you’ll look carefully toward the top of the post, just below the editor’s picks, you will find my post about new account bonuses!
The CreditCards.com Blog Hosted the 14th Carnival of Pecuniary Delights and included my post about getting money for college, even if your credit is “ruined”.
